We use oils for everything in our house! From cooking to cleaning to teething babies to sleep to bug bites. There’s literally nothing that there isn’t an oil for, but recently I’ve discovered so many new ways to incorporate essential oils into my beauty/skincare routine. Here’s a few of my favorite ways to do that:
3 drops Cedarwood oil
3 drops Lavender oil
A palmful of coconut oil (note: you may not need this much… I have a lot of hair haha)
Mix all of the ingredients up in the palm of your hand and apply to hair. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes or so and then rinse out, shampoo and condition hair as usual. You can also add 1 drop of Cedarwood and 1 drop of Lavender per ounce of shampoo and conditioner straight into the bottles.
I did this right before I got in the shower and it was AMAZING. I have very long, thick hair and tangles are always a major issue. This made my hair so much easier to brush through than usual!
1-2 drops Purification oil
Sweet almond oil
Combine the ingredients in the palm of your hand, massage onto your face and then gently exfoliate and rinse off with a warm washcloth. After that, apply 1 drop of Frankincense oil and 1 drop of Lavender oil straight to your face.
Add 1 drop of Cedarwood oil and 1 drop of Lavender oil into mascara tube.
Not only has this helped my lashes fill in and grow longer, but it smells amazing and has made my mascara last a lot longer, too!
Brown Sugar Body Scrub
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
4 drops Lavender oil
8 drops of Grapefruit oil (optional)
Combine ingredients in a glass jar and exfoliate in the shower or bath.
