Considering how long I have lived in the Dallas area, there are some places that I’m ashamed to say I have never visited. I have been to a few museums in Dallas, but this was our first time at the Perot Museum! We had a blast and if you have little ones, this is probably the most kid-friendly museum you’ll find. There were families all over the place. In fact, there’s an entire children’s area that both of the boys loved. Getting them to leave was the problem!
When we arrived Jayce was SO excited because he had never seen a building like this. He kept pointing and saying “Go in museum! Go in!” And I was excited because I felt fancy getting a media badge. 😉
Before we could go in though, he just had to go touch the large frogs in the green space. I mean, really, who can pass up giant frogs?
First up, was the children’s museum. There were so many fun sections including a water play area, a market, a campground and a baby spot just for Eli! 🙂
Eli was fascinated by everything! He jumped right in and started playing with the blocks in the baby area.
There were several fun exhibits when we visited including gemstones (there were some massive and GORGEOUS ones!), outer space, engineering, sports, Birds of Paradise and the dinosaurs! The dinosaurs was probably the boy’s favorite!
We had such a blast and will definitely be going back. Not only for the exhibits, but if you’re looking for somewhere to take children during the day for a fun little outing, the children’s museum alone is worth it!
A huge thank you to the Perot Museum for inviting us!
