A huge thank you to Nested Bean for sponsoring this post, as always all thoughts and opinions are my own. Also, thank you to my readers for supporting the brands that support my family and I!
How many of your babies only want to sleep when they’re being held? Babies love that feeling of being surrounded, held and comforted. That’s why swaddles are so awesome! Eli loved being swaddled for the first couple of months, but then things like rolling happened and it was nearly impossible to keep him swaddled. That’s why when Nested Bean reached out to me, I jumped on it and couldn’t wait to try their zen sleep sack!
I love this sleep sack for SO many reasons!
Eli has had traditional sleep sacks before, but this one is so much more unique and well designed that the others don’t even really compare.
First of all, it’s lightly weighted. The center of the sleep sack is slightly weighted to mimic the feeling of the mother touching the baby. Eli’s a light sleeper so he wakes up a lot, but since he’s been wearing his sleep sack he at least goes back to bed easier! It was pretty normal for him to fuss and cry when we would put him back in bed after each time he woke up, but lately he’s been doing so much better!
I also love that the bottom part of the sack is wider so Eli has room to move his active little legs and it’s a safe alternative to blankets. I’m always worried he will get cold, but he sleeps so comfortably with his sleep sack over a long sleeve t-shirt onesie! It’s 100% cotton so it’s soft as can be, too.
Probably one of my favorite things about the sleep sack though is the two-way zipper system for middle of the night diaper changes. It unzips around the entire sack and makes it so easy to change Eli’s diapers during the night.
Nested Bean also has swaddle blankets that are also lightly weighted. I really wish I had those when Eli was a newborn! I could not be happier with my sleep sack though and I think everyone with a baby needs one and everyone that knows someone that is having a baby… This would make the perfect gift!
