Now that Landon and I have two little ones, I’ve been wanting to start some family Christmas traditions and I think this will definitely be one! Last weekend we went to Christmas at the Anatole. Not only is this particular Hilton hotel in one of my favorite parts of Dallas (the Design District), but it’s beautiful! We did the Breakfast with Santa Experience on Sunday morning which includes a yummy and very nice breakfast, visits with Santa, story time with Santa and a scavenger hunt! Everyone with kids needs to go to this!
When we arrived, Jayce could not stop smiling and talking about seeing Santa! He kept saying that Santa came to Dallas from the North Pole. 😉
When we checked in, the boys each got a gift bag which included sleigh bells that Jayce loved. First up for the morning was breakfast which was amazing! It was so good and felt so special and fancy! There was a buffet, waiters bringing us coffee and orange juice, and an entire coffee station. I had the potatoes/hash, eggs, bacon and my favorite… Chorizo!
And as you can tell, Jayce was quite a fan of his breakfast. Of course he had to get the pancakes with whipped cream and sprinkles!
Even Eli had to have some. 🙂
Next up was playing on the slides and listening to story time with Santa and Mrs. Clause. Jayce LOVED this so much! However, when it came to sitting on Santa’s lap (which he talked about non stop for the last 24 hours), he wanted no part of that haha. He was so shy, but Eli was more than happy to sit with him!
After all of that was over, the scavenger hunt started! All over the first floor of the hotel there were stations and we had to use the riddle and clues on our scavenger hunt sheet to figure out where to go. The activities including coloring, seeing the big Christmas tree, face painting, puppet shows, making gingerbread cookies and a lot more! We loved seeing the Geppetto theatre downstairs, too.
We had so much fun and it was such a great way to spend the day as a family! Both of the boys loved eating and exploring and we will definitely be going back. Next time I think we will do the entire package (includes all of this plus a one night stay and movie night) or the full weekend experience.
A big thank you to the Hilton Anatole for partnering with me and inviting our family!
